Frequently asked questions

The short version.

  • PackSpinner is a gamified e-commerce engine: a complete, white-label mystery-box platform where players open packs of real products with casino-grade fairness, economics and reporting underneath.

  • Yes. Branding is configuration and content. Site name, currency, house edge and tax are site settings; legal pages, this FAQ, the feature catalogue and the price-range filters live in the built-in CMS; and the front end runs on a themeable design system.

Your players see your brand on your domain — PackSpinner is the engine behind it.

  • Yes — that is the normal way to run it. The admin suite lets your team manage products and vendors, compose packs from the catalogue with per-product roll ranges, and publish them.

Opening price, ticket ranges, rarity tiers and the volatility rating are recalculated automatically from the roll ranges and your house edge, so every pack is priced consistently the moment it is saved.

Additionally, AI can be used to trivially add new packs and products in no time at all.

  • The operator owns the catalogue content. Names, descriptions, pricing and images are added and maintained by your team through the admin suite.

Images are stand-alone product cut-outs on a transparent background so they render correctly on the reel and in pack grids. Cash-equivalent prizes need no artwork at all: the voucher product type renders its face value automatically.

Additionally, AI can be used to trivially generate and crop product images as well as generate high quality descriptions.

  • Payments sit behind a provider abstraction rather than being tied to one PSP. Deposits carry a method (card, PayPal, manual and test paths are modelled) and a full status lifecycle, and a confirmed deposit credits the wallet and triggers any opted-in bonus offer atomically.

Production deployments integrate the operator's PSP of choice; a manual deposit path is available for back-office use.

  • Multi-language is built in: routing is locale-prefixed, English and French ship today, and the structure — including localised CMS content — is ready for more.

Currency is a site-level setting, with prices, wallets and reporting kept in the site currency. Wallets are single-currency per site today; the schema is multi-currency-ready (one balance row per currency), so multi-currency wallets are a roadmap item rather than a redesign.

  • Yes, the source-code is available and, depending on the commercial agreement, can be provided.

  • Next.js (App Router) with tRPC and Prisma on CockroachDB — a horizontally scalable, Postgres-compatible database — plus Better-Auth for authentication and Payload CMS for editorial content, all in a Turborepo monorepo deployed on Vercel with S3-compatible or Vercel Blob media storage.

  • The operator does. The platform provides the catalogue and vendor tooling — products with gross pricing, vendor associations and a per-item provenance trail from open to fulfilment — and gives the player the choice to keep a won item for shipping or sell it back to the house at its current value, with every step recorded on the ledger.

Procurement, pricing and logistics run under your commercial arrangements with your suppliers. PackSpinner is the content and commerce engine, not the retailer.

  • Yes it can but it would require bespoke work.

Today PackSpinner runs its own player accounts and a segregated Cash / SalesCredit / Bonus wallet, with self-serve signup disabled by default so accounts are provisioned through your own KYC'd onboarding.
